About Me
Hello! My name is Jess Salley and this is my first year serving as the Elementary School Counselor at Mary C. Howse Elementary. I am thrilled to inspire your students and ensure they have a positive school experience! Previously, I served as the elementary counselor at Penn Wood Elementary School and high school counselor at West Chester East High School supporting students at the secondary level. My initial career experience working in higher education as a College Admissions Counselor motivated me to make a difference in students' lives, and help them prepare for future endeavors.
I completed my Bachelors of Science Degree in Psychology from DeSales University. I later completed my Masters of Science in School Counseling with K-12 Certification from Gwynedd Mercy University.
As a school counselor, my role is to work with students, parents, and teachers to help guide students' academic, personal/social, and career growth. I help students achieve academic success and develop appropriate social emotional skills by offering:

- Lunch Bunches
- Classroom observations
- Consultation with teachers, administrators, parents, and students
- Various meetings- IEP, 504, MTSS Data team
- Coordination of 504 Service Agreements
